Prohibition

Source A also mentioned the influence of the Anti-Saloon League but does not go into as much detail which makes you think they don't see it as an important factor for the cause of Prohibition as source B does.
After examining both sources, I can see that they both give causes and consequences of Prohibition, but from a different angle. Source A looks at a variety of causes and then one general consequence, whereas source B only concentrates on one cause but gives a lot of detail about the consequences. Both sources are obviously reliable as they are from history books and were written about 60 years after the actual event, therefore the information should be accurate as the author has had the chance to look back at all the possible facts and evidence. Overall, both sources agree with each other, with the things they say but they just talk about different causes and consequences in different amounts of detail.
             B. Were the artists of these two posters for or against Prohibition?.
The two posters (sources C & D) in this question are both for Prohibition. The poster in source C was published in 1910, and the poster in source D was published in 1915. From my own knowledge I can say that source C poster was published 10 years before full Prohibition and source D poster 15 years full Prohibition.
The poster in source C shows a man passing over his wages to a fat barman for a drink. The man is drinking away his wages. You can see this because he's passing the barman a bag with a ticket on it saying "weeks wages". The barman is fat which shows he's well off (he can afford to eat well), he is standing next to an open cash register, ready to put in the mans weekly wages. In the left corner of the picture you can also see a group of men sitting around a table with cards in their hands and a drink. I can also see that they are gambling, this shows that along with drinking comes the opportunity to gamble and vice-versa, this is just another thing that men wasted their wages on.
