The After High School Decision

I was super excited to start this new chapter in my life and to meet new people that would be my friends for years to come. Even though I was excited, the days leading up to school made me incredibly anxious and stressed me. Truthfully, I didn't really want to attend college. I felt very pressured to go though because I felt I would disappoint or fail my parents and family if I didn't. Along with the pressure from my family, I didn't want to waste a free year of education after I had worked so hard for it. My parents had always wanted me to be this successful academic college graduate, so I said "whatever" to my own feelings and continued on to college. The two years that I spent at Central Washington University were some of the best times of my life. I was living independently and on my own time doing whatever I wanted to do. I got into great shape since the gym at school was free. I made tons of friends, some who would become future roommates of mine, and on top of everything, I made the starting attack position for the men's lacrosse team. My first quarter at the university went great! I took a light load of classes and ended that quarter with a 3. Life was at an all time high for me and it was very reassuring as well since I had doubts about college. Like all good stories though, good things always come to an end, and that's when second quarter hit, and let me tell you second quarter was where the plot twist. .
My second quarter at the university gave me a rough time. I had signed up for eighteen credits and each one of those classes were a living nightmare. My second quarter of school was the first time in my life that I had ever failed a class and not only did I fail the one class but I received D's and C's in my other classes. To put it lightly my parents were furious and threatened to pull me out of school if I ever did that bad again. That quarter was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life.
