Thus Metro Rail project could be a boon for the city growing traffic problems.
1.3 Preface.
The inspiration to start this research project came from observing the sheer number of passengers using the Bangalore Metro system for tourism purposes and to find economical ways to entertain children and take photos of the panoramic view. With increasing number of functional stations opening every day, the possible productivity of the metro has drastically gone up in our daily lives. We still discovered in short conversations with the ticketing employees that the number of civilians utilizing this service for their daily commute is disastrously minimal. .
Further research showed us that many studies have been conducted on the Metro project in the last 3 years, but all of them target its infrastructure and feasibility. None of them revealed the perspective of its feasibility from the passenger's point of you. Hence, we got the motivation to start this project. To successfully understand the situation as much as we can, we utilized both primary as well as secondary resources, including conducting interviews of 20 individuals that were divided equally as students, working individuals, employees of the metro and employees of other public transport systems. Our project targets towards providing both positive and negative findings of this undertaking on the civilians of Bangalore as well as our suggestions for the same.
1.4 About Namma Metro.
Namma Metro (Our Metro) also known as Bangalore Metro, is a metro system for the city of Bangalore, Karnataka, India. The agency responsible for its implementation is the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL), a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Karnataka.
