The Political Media Of Venezuela

There are two major factors in our foreign policy toward Venezuela, oil and their president Hugo Chavez. .
An article written by Sam Black titled "Tales from a Failed Coup-. This article goes into the failed coup the United States allegedly purportrated to oust President Hugo Chavez. According to the article there is a mystery, which surrounded this coup, which briefly Hugo Chavez was taken from office and arrested. "Did they know about the coup in advance? Did they (Bush Admin.) help plan it? Or if not, did they know about the Coup in advance?-(1) States Christopher Dodd a Senator from Connecticut. He also believes if the Bush Administration didn't know about the incident, then it was an intelligence flaw. He stated that practically everyone in Venezuela knew that something like this was coming, why didn't we.
The Administration did have some contact with the conspirators beforehand, and these contacts may have been more extensive then they first admitted. Two have connections to the white house; one is Gustavo Cisneros a close friend to Bush's family. Cusnero's is one of Venezuela's richest people; he owns the largest media group in Venezuela. The rumor is that he bankrolled the coup, however there is little evidence to support this. The other potential conspirator is Luis Giusti, a former head of the States lucrative oil company. He is also known to have ties with Bush and is a big energy advisor. This all happens to a democratically elected leader, who wanted to socialize the oil revenues and put the money back into the hands of more of there people.
This article is a good example of a leftist view towards Venezuela; it shows Bush administration allegedly trying to contradict a democratic nation. In some way it's telling the reader we have no business there at all. Even though it can come off conspirators, it surfaces adequate proof to the table, which makes the reader think.
The Next Article, which also happens to be Left, Belongs to Barry C.
