I enrolled into the Organization and Administration of Athletics class because it is a required course for the completion of my Sport Administration degree. At first I did not know who the professor of the class was supposed to be, but when I saw Kevin Fite was teaching it, I knew I would learn a lot because of his experience as a successful administrator with the NCAA and the University of Houston. After accomplishing my Sport Administration degree from the University of Houston, I would like to pursue a career in coaching at any level. My father was a coach, and I would like to influence and help further develop football/track athletes. I know that my father left a lasting effect on many of his former athletes" minds for years down the road. I would like to learn from the experiences that Kevin Fite has encountered in his years of practice as an administrator. I would like to learn some more fundamental knowledge of administrative practices of sports at the high school, collegiate and professional sport levels. I want to be able to identify and implement managerial strategies utilized with sports programs, analyze and discuss philosophies and issues involved in the management of sports programs, acquaint myself with multiple areas of expertise in the administration of athletics and develop a basic understanding of managing organizations and governing bodies of sports. I also enjoy that in this class we, the students, are always involved in direct question and answer feedback with Kevin Fite concerning the latest news in sports regarding different aspects of the suspected situations that involve universities and its employees.
