Just think if you had a cause to fight for that was so important to you that you would dedicate your entire life to it and eventually give your life for it, just think if you believed in something so much that you had to fight with all you had, all your will, strength, mind, and soul. If you had that cause, the will, and the support to do this would you? If you would, think how you would go about it, would you hold non violent protests and try and do this legitimately or would you go militant and try to destroy what you were fighting against and stop at nothing short of your own death to get it. An example of this scenario is displayed in the civil rights movement, in which African Americans attempted to gain rights such as interracial schools, buses, restaurants, and much more. Black people were also trying to gain respect and a chance at the American dream.
Martin Luther King Jr., son of Reverend Martin Luther King Sr., was a black civil rights leader, he used quiet nonviolent boycotts, protests, assembly's, and marches. He helped many people realize what was happening all around them and got many followers including white people to join his fight. He led his fight for 13 years, during this time he inspired many people. Martin is probably the most known and recognized civil rights leaders in history. .
Martin Luther King Jr. was born in Atlanta Georigia at noon on Tuesday January 15th, 1929. He was married on June 18th, 1953 to Coretta Scott; they had 4 children, respectively: Yolanda Denise, Martin Luther III, Dexter Scott, and Bernice Albertine. Martin Luther King Jr. entered school at the age of five and was discovered to be under aged and was kicked out until he reached the proper age of six. He skipped the ninth and twelfth grades to go on and earn many degrees including a PhD and also received many honorary degrees. He spent many years of his life fighting for civil rights until he was assassinated.
