These creatures are the true meaning of evil. They make you feel like you don't have an ounce of good in your life. They bring out your worst fears and nightmares and make them seem like they are real. The most surprising thing about the confrontation was that they weren't supposed to be in the muggle world. Someone sent them. He attacked Dudley who was both dumbfounded and petrified at the sight of these creatures. Harry tried hard to fight them off but he wasn't very successful. Although he wasn't successful, he did try and use magic against them but it wasn't good enough. Then when it looked bad for Harry and Dudley, the bitter, old neighbour Harry loathed, helped him and made the dementors go away. They found out their neighbour Mrs. Figg was really a squib. A squib is a person who is born to magic parents but has no magic ability of their own. Mrs. Figg was just pretending to be a normal muggle to watch over Harry. When they got back home, Dudley said that Harry put the dementors on him. That got in a load of trouble. That was nothing when he found out he was expelled from Hogwarts, the school for witchcraft and wizardry. One rule of Hogwarts is that you can't use magic during the summer. Harry has already broken that rule a few times, although some of those times weren't his fault. Since he used magic to protect himself against the dementors, they still counted that as using magic in the muggle world. They said he could never go back to Hogwarts and he could never use magic again. The next day 8 or 9 people, who went by the name Order of the Phoenix, picked him up from the Dursleys to take him to their headquarters. Many of the people in the Order of the Phoenix Harry knew from before, including his godparent Sirius Black. It was a selected group of people who believed in Lord Voldemorts return. Lord Voldemort was a dark lord who wanted to take over the world. Harry has stopped him three times before but last year he returned and had full power.
