The Corporate Mystic

.
However a mystic would: face squarely what happened, accept the situation, make a choice, and take an action. These two comparisons show a major difference between a non-mystic and a mystic.
Something else that caught my attention in this chapter was High Firing as a Step to Integrity. High firing is the process where you consciously free yourself from people who are not playing at a high level of integrity. Even if you are not at a level to fire them, you can still remove them from your business and personal lives. The process of doing this is simple; you always tell the truth and stop spending time with those who don't. By doing this you "fire" somebody without being at an authority level. In doing this you also get rid of someone who is draining your energy.
In Chapter two entitled Vision, the one thing that caught my eye was the section on Future Vision. This section talks about how important it is to live for the future and not in the past. The authors use a couple of different phrases to motivate the reader such as " it is crucial to plant one foot in the there (future) so that the other foot will be motivated to follow". In this they are trying to get the readers to imagine the future and decide what they want to do instead of waiting to decide at the last moment. Another really good quote used is "Imagination is more important than knowledge", which came from Albert Einstein. .
I really liked the use of quotes and phrases the authors used in this section. It really helps the reader understand what they are talking about.
In Chapter three entitled Intuition, something that caught my eye was the section on Protecting Your Creative Think-Time. This section talked about how important it is for a leader to take time off to think about things. They suggested going to your office, shut your door, and either look out the window or close your eyes and think. They believe when an individual takes the time to think about their decisions, then they will be more successful.
