             Drugs are the second most common severe substance abused by young adults. Many young adults smoke cigarettes and/or use a different kind of a drug to relieve stress and depression. There are many new and old kinds of drugs on the market nowadays, and young people always find ways to illegally purchase them. Whether it's a narcotic, anti-depressant, stimulant, hallucinogen, or cannabis, most of these substances are harmful and health damaging. Also, another impact these drugs have, is the addiction they create. Drugs are dangerous to adolescents for the reason of possible overdose and permanent health damage. .
             Among athletes, drugs are also popular in forms of steroids, which are male hormones, testosterone in artificial form used for better formation of muscles and better athletic performance. Usage of steroids is effective, but only temporarily and creates a psychological addiction.
             In terms of tobacco, cigarettes are the most popular substance abused by teenagers and young people. However, other means of tobacco intake have been found: chewing tobacco and snuffing. .
             Probably the most freely available drugs are inhalants. They can be bought in stores as goods for public use. Any product containing Freon can be used as a mean of inhalant. The most popular inhalants are spray containers, whipped cream cans, or glue bottles. .
             Eating Disorder.
             Many young girls are not satisfied with their physical proportions. They believe that they are either too fat or too skinny. Most of these girls feel unhappy about the way they look, some of them maintain a non-fat and non-sugar diet, but others go to extremes and literally starve themselves to death. A growing number of teenage girls become anorexic or bulimic. .
             Anorexia nervosa is a syndrome of self-starvation of an individual who refuses any intake of food. This refusal of food is caused by a fear of gaining body weight. During this time, significant body weight loss and some physical illness might occur.
