Parents encounter different difficulties today despite different social context such a giving children an average preparation for adult life, especially with consideration to education in the meaning of sexuality. Schools, make themselves carry out programs of sex education, which is often done by taking the place of family and, most of the time, with the purpose of only providing information. In many cases parents are now too busy and do not have time to talk to their children about sex and very often assume that they will just learn at school or from friends. Many have no choice but to talk with their friends about sexual matters or remain in the dark in the area of sexuality. It is an unfortunate reality that when youths do turn to their peers about sex, the message they receive is often very clear yet very misguided, they become sexually educated by myths and misconceptions generated within society. It may be because of the lack of accurate information adolescents receive about sex that causes them to be experiment themselves in search of the truth. I believe this experimentation may take place early for many youths because society has built up the concept of sex to be larger than life, and no one wants to miss out on anything so wonderful. Society has created the unhealthy notion that sex is an expected norm at any age or at any stage in a relationship. .
In each new generation, adolescents' sexual attitudes and behaviors have greatly changed. There is a major increase in the number of young people reporting to have had sexual intercourse. Nowadays, 13 year olds are having sex and are starting to have oral sex by the age of 11.
