Star Trek

When answering questions about existence, and the possibility of a god, science and religion can both be used effectively together to find answers. Both points of view are of equal value and one should not be discredited over the other. .
The relationship between Science and Religion can be explained from two distinct points of view. Some would argue that scientific explanations are the only means of explaining our existence, while others would argue that religion and the existence of a god provide a sufficient account of our creation. Both Religion and Science are at opposite ends of the spectrum, and the majority of society would insist that if you are "in search of a god" the last place to find evidence for his or her existence would be in science. Perhaps we should not concentrate solely on the extremes that exist in our society, maybe we should focus on the middle ground, where science and religion can unite and then begin to answer many of the questions we have been asking ourselves. .
Star Trek has encompassed many of these ideals by incorporating science and religion into the core of their context. The scientific and religious overtones are easily noticed in most of the episodes, causing the audience to question their own "search for god". Star Trek has not only provided a stepping-stone for the idea of "exploration into space" , but in addition it has opened the door to the possibility of science and religion existing together. .
There are many prime examples in which an episode of "Star Trek" obviously suggests that the collaboration of a higher being, (such as god) and scientific knowledge are the basis of creation. In the episode, The Chase (T.N.G) it is the balance of scientific information, and the belief that there is a higher being that has created fusion of religious and scientific understanding. The entire episode is surrounded by examples of how one element of creation is not enough to perpetuate existence; both are needed to complete the "cycle of life".
