Whether it is for a couple of hours, a few days, or a second, every human has a moment in which they realize their goals and aspirations they want to achieve in life. Goals make us who we are. They make us work more and push ourselves than we would normally. One of my many dreams is to play my turntables in front or hundreds, thousands, or even millions of people. I want everyone to realize the hard work and dedication I put into practice. I want them to wonder if they could ever achieve my level of skill and commitment. I found motivation to carry me through my trials one night at the State Palace Theater in New Orleans, Louisiana. .
I knew I was going and had been looking forward to the event for several weeks now. I bought my ticket and only knew two or three of the many djs playing that night, but I knew it would be a night to remember. My friends are not interested in my music so I was going to meet up with my cousin and his friends. The Palace is located downtown and about twenty minutes away from my house. My brother had come in town and was not going with me that night, so we decided to meet couple of his friends downtown before I made my way to the party. Downtown New Orleans has numerous bars to go on the weekends. We went to about four different bars before the time had come for me to make my way to the Palace. .
The theater was about two miles away. It is an old building three story tall that use to hold concerts and orchestra in the past. Nowadays it is used for only parties or rave, as many people call them. Yes, drugs and alcohol are used on the premises, but I do not involve myself with that . I was there for the music only. .
I waited in line for about twenty minutes and was finally able to give my ticket and enter. The entrance is nothing more than a large square room with a marble staircase on the opposite side from the doors. The concession stand is located at the top of the staircase.
