12 Angry Men

This is especially critical when one person's life is at stake. Facts can then be twisted "any way you like" (Page 40). It becomes a case of how the facts have been interpreted, but how accurate they are despite what is morally correct.
"8th Juror: testimony which could put a human being into the electric chair should be that accurate" (Page 26).
Personally avoiding interpreting the facts truthfully seems to spell out nothing but error in decision making. This can have catastrophic results in regards to a person's life. Executing someone who is innocent is a one-way ticket to doom. Once the execution is successful, there is yet another murder to be justified for. As the eighth juror points out;.
"It's happened before that someone's been convicted of murder and executed, and years later someone else has confessed to the crime." (Page 29).
             .
By restricting the identities of the Jurors" to the readers, Rose uses them as a representation of society in general. It can be observed that the eighth juror represents the more intellectually advanced part of society who possess empathy. The third juror being strongly prejudiced, even the ninth juror representing the aged people. Each juror has his own unique personality, indicating the variety of people in society. All twelve jurors have been brought together to make a decision. A critical and risky decision. This can symbolic of how society sometimes have to unite to work as a cooperative team to make the correct judgement. Each individual jury play a part in determining the accuracy of the facts, despite eleven of them originally opposing that such facts could be misread. Although there are a number of disagreements and arguments throughout the play, as well as a fair few restrainings, it is only when each person has managed to express his opinion reasonably to the rest of the jury before they gain any satisfaction of making the correct decision. Had the eighth juror been ignored, the accused boy is likely to have been declared guilty without the facts being correctly sifted though.
