SUMMARY; MY VIEWS; IMPLICATIONS FOR THE FUTURE.
The article that I chose to do my assignment on really caught my eye. It is called .
"Semen linked to women's mood. A Psychologist Professor named Gordon G. Gallup .
conducted the study in Albany, New York at the University. Two hundred and ninety .
three females suggest that a dose of semen can make you feel better. He experimented by .
having these women have sex some used condoms and some did not. They found that .
those who didn't use condoms scored high on the mood test, and those who used .
condoms scored low on the mood test. The results, published in the Archives of Sexual .
Behavior in March, suggest that the fluid containing sperm may actually enhance mood .
when it is absorbed through the lining of the vagina. Gallup also stressed that he is not .
promoting unsafe sex.
My opinions and views on this article were that I think that Gallup chose an .
excellent research project because I myself wonder if has any truth to it. I think that there .
is a little truth to it just by experience but it could all be in my mind. Using condoms is .
the most uncomfortable thing to have to do when you want to fully enjoy sex. But I"m not .
saying that just because it feel good that you should go out and have sex with every Tom .
Mike and Harry. Then you are likely to come home with a disease that's going to make .
your mood even worse then what it probably already was before you went out and had .
sex. The only way that you should participate in unsafe sex is unless you and your partner .
have come to an agreement that you are ready for those sacrifices. If you are in a .
committed relationship such as working on getting married or if you already are married .
then you have that option of experimenting with it. Like Gallup said " Clearly you can .
still develop a sexually transmitted disease or an unwanted pregnancy, any psychological .
effects are not going to offset that". I don't know whether or not the semen helps develop .
