             This chapter states the project manager's role, duty and responsibility in the project. The role, duty and responsibility are related closely to the project manager's soft skills.

             The discussion of this chapter is regarding the need for soft skills and the ways of developing project management skills. The discussion also included a detailed analysis on fourteen types of soft skill.

             This chapter analyses the data collected from the questionnaire survey in which the methodology of survey is stated. A decisive conclusion will be made for each analysis based on the primary data obtained from the survey.

             This chapter will draw together all the research results to present the overall conclusions and putting forward any recommendations that have been reached.
             1.9 CHAPTER SUMMARY.
             This dissertation is aimed at find out the most important soft skill that a project manager should possess. It is hoped that this dissertation could aware Malaysian project managers to emphasize soft skills in their project management practice. .

             2.1 DEFINITION OF PROJECT, MANAGER AND MANAGEMENT.
             The "Dictionary of Architecture & Construction" (2000) defines project as "a construction undertaking, composed of one or more buildings and the site improvements, planned and executed in a fixed time period.".
             Statt (1991) defined manager as "anyone involved in the administration of an organization with the authority to use organization resources, whether money, labor, or equipment, in furtherance of the organization's objectives." Meanwhile, he also defined the meaning of management as "making the most effective use of available resources, whether in the form of machines, money or people.
