September 11th was a great tragedy, one that we will never forget. We will always remember exactly where we were and what we were doing when the attack was announced. All of us, no matter what race, religion, or profession, were affected by September 11th in one way or another. Whether it was just by opening our eyes from the curtain that was over them of every day life that blinded us from the true cruelty of the world. Or if it made us realize just how precious life really is and what it means to us personally. The people that lost loved ones in the dreadful terrorist attack have been scarred more deeply than any of us could ever imagine and we would just pray that we would never have to experience the losses that they have suffered. .
The attack on America was a horrible tragedy - so tragic that our leaders felt that we need to justify the acts of evil that was towards our nation. They came to the conclusion that there was no other way to solve this problem except by taking immediate action. Some people felt that an eye for and eye makes the whole world blind. They protested that there has to be a better way than by shedding blood until we are satisfied and that war just creates other conflicts between countries. Others felt that we must seek revenge and that war was the only way. It was a decision that the whole country was waiting for in suspense. Every night following the attacks we waited in front of our TV's, holding our breath for the President to tell us the plan of action. After hearing the people and listing to both sides, our leader made one of the most heroic decisions that have been made in this century. He said, "We can not declare war on a country because we do not know that a country preformed this ungodly deed. But we can and we will declare war on terrorism." As President Bush finished his speech he said, "We will not rest until this act of terrorism has been put to rest.
