Religion & Church

            I am a roman catholic who goes to church almost every Sunday with my family. My faiths major influences are the bible and Jesus. I have made my confirmation and completed my church school for my church. I have had no major experiences that affect my faith as of yet. I am still looking for an experience to affect my beliefs and me. .
             I do not have much of a relationship with god. In fact I am not sure whether there is a god. I have not experienced Jesus in my life because I do not believe in him. I believe that my disbelief in Jesus has no effect in hoe I treat myself. It is sure folly to believe that belief in Jesus would affect how you would treat yourself but more likely to affect how you treat others.
             Religion can affect your relationships with others in many ways. It can affect you attitude with others by teaching you to respect others and gives you morals to live by. It also affects your decision making by giving you strict morals and codes of conduct to live by. I want to believe that I am not affected by my catholic upbringing but I am. The morals and codes of conduct are always there even if I want to disobey them. I do not pray often and I do not practice my faith often.
             I have many problems with god and his church. It is full of hypocrisy and greed. Church officials have become corrupt and pathetic. They claim that with out the collections in church the church would be destroyed. I agree with this as the fact that the church as we now it would fall apart and a new church would rise. One that does not need fancy robes, fancy cups, and expensive materials. It would be a humble church where only true believers would gather and be saved.
