I have always considered myself a fairly unique person, and believe that I possess many strong qualities that could contribute to my success as a college student. First and foremost, I have always considered myself a sociable person. I love to meet new people and make new friends. I enjoy being in groups and working as a team, and have always been told I am very easy to get along with. I believe that going away to college without your previous friends and relationships can be a difficult experience, but being an amicable person could dramatically ease the transition. .
Another quality that I believe I possess is being a strong leader. I have always enjoyed organizing activities and heading various groups or athletic teams. Teachers generally pick me to head activities like group projects, because they know that I can assume that responsibility and will lead the rest of the group by example. I have not just had to do this in school, but also with friends. It's hard to not give in to peer pressure, but it is also something every teenager will deal with at one time or another. By me making intelligent decisions in front of friends and peers who look up to me, they may more easily be able to make the right decision also.
Being a hard worker has always meant a great deal to me. I have always had high expectations for myself and will stop at almost nothing until I achieve them. I love challenging tasks that involve perseverance and determination to finish, and receive great satisfaction out of achieving my goal. I know what I would like to do with my life and am willing to work as hard as I must to achieve this. I believe that my work ethic will greatly assist me during my future.
I believe that going to college will present new and more challenging situations than I have ever faced before. I feel that the qualities I possess will help me successfully face any situation that may arise.
