Everyone knows that war is a very touchy subject right now. The idea of sending our loved ones over seas is a hard thing to do. But what if were to say that when they got there no one would be able to see them. What im going to talk about is the Theory of invisibility, 1) The positive effects that could be had from such a thing, 2) the navy's true life experiment with invisibility and 3) the negative things that came out of such an experiment. Now i know that magicians make things disappear all the time , this is something called misdirection , believe me that invisable is completely different and can be very dangerous. For those that are in complete disbeleife of what im sayin.
First let me explain the positive effects of such a thing as invisibility. The military would be able to penetrp[ate outside countries without being seen to anyone else. This virtually eliminates the risk of casualties. This method would have proved very useful at the time of WW2 and would also prove effective at a time such as now. Invisibility was thought to be the next great step for the War. .
Ok Now what im about to tell you may sound very shocking , and is something that not many people know about . During the bulge of WW2 when the Nazi threat was at its greatest, the u.s. Navy , and the crew of the USS Eldridge conducted an experiment in the philadelphia bay known as Project Rainbow or the Philadelphia project. Project Rainbow involved some of the greatest scientists to ever live such as Nikola Telsa , and Albert Einstein. These men believed that to make something invisible you would need to some how bend the light around it. . This would create a Mirage as you all might of heard of. This is phenomenon is naturally occurring, and cases of entire islands vanishing out of sight with the right weather conditions have been reported.

Scientists believed that to accomplish this, the Navy would have to wrap the entire ship in metal wire and pass a huge electrical current through it.
