Organizational Behavior

The first observation that I had when I first walked into this class was how the room was situated. Unlike my other classes where the desks are in straight rows facing the professor and the board, this classroom was positioned in a circle. The class was able to communicate and interact with each other more effectively. There was a central focus on Professor Arnold. The forum of all our discussions was centered between the professor and the class. Having a passionate leader who exemplifies strong organizational skills is an important factor in learning about organizational behavior. This often requires sufficient communication and one's excellent character. .
The circle in which we are placed at the beginning of every class signifies a unity among the students as well as the professor. The class can easily and actively communicate and participate in the circle because it is evenly leveled. In other words, no one should feel inferior or superior as compared to someone else in the class. One of the major reasons that we are positioned in a circle is so that we succeed in understanding the concept of organizational behavior. This also requires team effort, which is definitely a key factor in moving forward in the job market as well as my educational career. .
Our first class was held in a small room and there were many students in the class so the room was rather crowded. By the time our second session came around, Professor Arnold took matters in his own hands and lead us into a much bigger classroom which had the capacity to fit all the students in a less crowded, more spacious manner. This action that the professor took in organizing the class reveals two points: the professor is enthusiastic about making the class feel comfortable and the professor genuinely cares about his students. My other classes for this semester are tremendously different from this management class.
