Criterion A Plan of the Investigation.
The time period between 500 and 1450 A., also called the Middle Ages, or Dark Ages by some. This time period plays an important role in the history of time because of the main significant events. Some of these significant events are the fall of the Western Roman Empire, the Pope crowning Charlemagne, the Enlightenment, the Italian Renaissance, and the Black Death, an extremely fierce plague which swept across Europe and some parts of Asia in the mid-fourteenth century. The Black Death is also known as the Bubonic Plague because of the buboes it gave to its victims. This plague took the lives of millions. It also changed factors such as the economy, art, literature, architecture, spirituality, and most importantly, society dramatically. During the time of this plague, there was a tremendous controversy over what was the cause of this heavy burden which had suddenly emerged. There had been both, many scientific and superstitious cause which had arose from the minds of society.
What, in fact, had been the real cause of this plague? And what effects, both positive and negative had it brought about. And what were the long and short term effects of The Black Death? In order to answer these questions, a research project must be completed. Our project is to produce a 2500 word report on the topic of the Black Death, and find out what was the cause of the Black Death, and what its long and short-term results were. The final report will consist of several categories including a plan of the investigation, a summary of evidence, an evaluation of sources, an analysis, a conclusion, and the sources and word limit. Factors such as dictionaries, encyclopedias, novels, textbooks, and online web pages can all serve as sources, to help in the investigation. These sources are the main fundamental pillar of doing this report. .
