He was a person who transformed an era. Nashville, his great grandfather founded the first national bank in Seattle, WA. The had wealth, but didn't flaunt it. Mary Maxwell, Bills mother was a very enthusiastic girl who when she went to college was called "giggles." She met Bill Gates Jr. and got married. Bill gates (who's nickname was "Tray" because he was the third Bill Gates.) Loved playing games and was always competitive-trying to do things just as good or better.
During his preteen times he started to get rebellious. With his parents being strict, it was a strain on the family. So his parents put him into the private school Lakeside. It only accepted the best and the brightest, which was Bill. When he started high school Lakeside got the use of a computer which sparked Bill Gate's interest. It would be there every waking moment. Paul Allen and Bill Gates bounded by writing software codes. When Bill was only 15 him and Paul went into a business together. at 17, Bill became a senator page, where he learned politics. .
Bill graduated from high school in 1973 and he was accepted into Harvard. He would get by on talent through most of his classes he didn't care about. He would even fall asleep during exams. He spent all his time he could find to be with the computer. He was very good at Math, and decided against becoming a Mathmatiticion because sometimes he wasn't always #1. .
Paul Allen hooked up with Gates and they were excited about Altair, the first computer. They produced software to use on Altair. "The coolest code I ever wrote" worked on the Altair, and history was made. In 1975, him and Paul Allen make Microsoft. Paul had to drop out of college in his Sr. Year to work on his business. He didn't appreciate that all the software he made was just being given to everyone without being paid.
In May of 1977, Roberts sold his business and Gates had to go to court to keep the software he had written.
