             The reason people today read this material from Plato is each person experiences these situations of pressure, fear, and of being informed of such experiences. This work gives a person a look on how life can be before we blindly experience it for oneself. We are reading this piece to prepare us for the inevitable of collage however, the brief part we already have experienced is a life-changing experience; the real test is to not have fear returning home or to the routine of earlier years. .
             Similarities between our society and Plato's era, is people no matter what time period, experience fear, happiness, pressure, and learn to adapt to ones surroundings. However in the 4th Century B.C. technology wasn't a huge factor compared to today, everything today revolves around technology. Whether it is television, radio, or Internet. Another difference is how society views things today. People change according to the public and fluctuation of the economy. In the 4th Century, people still did change but they changed according to their family values or morals. A final contrast between 4th Century B. C. and today are the more opportunities available to help an individual achieve their goals.
