He chose a nation in which, he showed himself specifically and practically. He however has been showing himself to other nations as well although not in a specific way as he did to the Old Testament Israel. .
In one of the Lausanne Occasional Papers, the Thailand Report on People of African Traditional Religion No. 18 it says that God speaks in many ways. We depend primarily upon how God has spoken in uniquely fixed and supremely authoritative way in Scripture. We also trust that he is speaking to us as we live and preach. However, we also need to recognize in practical ways that he has also spoken within the various traditional cultures. (Pg. 7).
The book of Romans sates that, .

Also in Genesis 14:19,22 the Bible says,.

Lord God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth, and have .

Abram knew God as the Most high, the Creator of heaven and earth and throughout the Bible history when God would make himself known to the children of Israel, he would introduce himself as the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. This was so that they would know that he was the same God that Abraham believed and the one he referred to as the Most high, the Creator of the heavens and the earth.
In presenting Christ to the Colossians, Paul says,.
He is the image of the invisible God, the first born over all creation. .
For by him all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, .
visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities, .
