He commanded the army in the desert directly; his strict discipline and toughness had made himself to become an outstanding leader. His subordinates would like to work with a leader which has the biggest effectiveness and willing to take charge of them.
             Strategic Vision and Sense of Direction:.
             Winning battles quickly was what General Patton fought for. He had good vision, and clear sense of direction. One of the battles was about how he commanded his soldiers to attack the enemy in four directions and destroyed everything quickly. He pushed his men hard in order to make fast victory. He strongly believed that being defense or holding a position were always negative. He always on an offense and that he would keep pushing until his subordinates gave up. He proved that he could win fast battle. On the other hand, he believed he had a strong military history background so that he had the confidence to make decisions. And that is one of the most important elements that a great leader must have. With good tactics, pushing his men for victory, and winning battles as quickly as he did were his ways of influencing it. Therefore, I strongly believed that he helped his country to win the war and saved thousands of people.
             Ability to communicate:.
             General Patton was an effective speaker and a good communicator. He had a unique ability to speak and using his speech to put down the enemies and raise the morale of his country. During the normal conversation, he seemed to sprinkle four letters words into what he was saying and the listeners would hardly take notice of it. He spoke so easily and used those words in such a way that it just seemed natural for him to talk in that way. His accent also showed a strong personality with the way he talked and spoke in speech. In the opening, he gave a speech to his men which about why American never lose a war. He also said "The real hero is the man who fights even though he is scared.
