To initiate the use of these facilities in developing countries, (especially ones which have no hold on fossil fuels), will help start a revolution which the US would then follow or possibly be an example of. The drawback to solar power in poor countries is the expensive cost. Local people could construct windmills for a foreign power company that would supply the generators and computers. Although the only way for bringing the rest up the world up to speed with digital country is through electricity, maybe it is not the best answer. If crowded, undeveloped countries would begin teaching agriculture instead of the Internet, progress would be made in the right direction.
If youth of every country were raised with an agricultural background, awareness of natural processes might enlighten new generations to the importance of our environment. For environmental friendly transportation, electricity generation, and harvesting resource techniques to become used, I believe there are two ways. One way would be through growing up and being raises in an environmentally conciseness community that stressed the importance of recycling, reusing, and breathing fresh air. The other would be through using the media to catch our impressionable minds that have lost sight of their natural environment, and relentlessly advertise hip electric cars and cool energy sources. I believe that only by making people aware of the dangers our pollution is creating will they realize what is in jeopardy of being lost.
To begin curbing water pollution the EPA should severely restrict any harmful output discharged by any industry, even those outside us boarders. I believe the United States has the power and influence to help control global water pollution, but first must threaten domestic companies with severe taxes on any amount of water pollution to clean up our own act. The EPA should also hire geologists to survey potential aquifer recharge areas and use zoning laws to prohibit them from being used for anything but state parks and animal refugees.
