The G.I. Bill of Rights is a body of federal legislation, which has provided educational and other benefits for veterans of World War II. No review could possibly describe the massive impact of the World War II G.I. Bill on the nation or individual lives. In 1958 Congress passed the National Defense Education Act which appropriated federal funds to improve instruction in those areas such as math, science, and foreign langue. Another program that increased federal financial involvement was the Elementary and 2ndary Education Act of 1965. This Act concentrated on African American and other minority groups that were disadvantaged because of social and economic conditions. In 2000 The Clinton Administration launched a revolution in public education with standards and accountability at the core. Their Goals 2000 initiative gave states assistance and encouragement to adopt high standards and require accountability. Clinton-Gore budgets doubled investment in education and training by focusing on things that work, like charter schools, teacher quality, smaller class size.
             On January 23, 2001 President Bush sent his No Child Left Behind plan to congress. .
             In his policy he incorporated a lot of principles and strategies with the 1965 Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA). This Act increased the accountability for states, school districts, and a school, meaning that under educating was not acceptable. This act also gave a greater choice for parents and students, particularly those attending low-performing schools. It also gave a stronger emphasis on reading at an early age. .
             Resolving the Problem.
             All across the nation, children are being taught at different quality levels. Most of their disadvantages are due to the schools that they are in and how they lack some of the fundamentals that are required in the learning field. .
             In the No Child Left Behind Act Bush is trying to make the nation aware of those schools who are in need, but not only make the nation aware that they are in need but to help them achieve the goals that are set by the rest of the nation.
