It's a matter worth discussing -is cloning playing good or playing god? A wise man once said, " to be able to argue your point you must completely understand the point of your opponent, and to do this you must research the topic with an open mind." I have always believed in the theory of "an eye for an eye" but never took the time to examine why. This quote is perfect for the assignment. It makes us see that there are always two sides to questions and issues. .
CLONING.
Imagine how life would become when millions of people start looking alike, acting alike, and thinking alike. There would be no diversity what so ever in today's society. Did you ever imagine having a child that is the exact replica of you? Did you ever imagine of having the cure for heart disease or cancer? Well, these fantasies are not far from reach. How far will it go? Everyday people find themselves at a crossroads that requires a decision as to which path to follow. In the past few years, scientists have gained knowledge about cloning that could impact our lives for centuries to come. As a society we are at a crossroads. The way we could reach these fantasies is through a process called cloning. In the movie Jurassic Park, we watched, as man was able to recreate the existence of dinosaurs using blood and DNA preserved many years ago. This process of taking cells and using it to recreate a life form is called cloning. Clone, an organism, or group of organisms, derived from another organism by an asexual reproductive process . The word clone has been applied to cells as well as to organisms, so a group of cells stemming from a single cell is also called a clone.
