Our administration has made it so the computer stations and the library are open until 6:00pm most evenings. This allows students to stay after and finish any homework that they may not otherwise have the opportunity to do. .
I also believe the administration should do it"d best to put more an emphasis on the importance of education in the world we live in. They should try to make some changes or positive steps toward some people's view of education. They should show parents the importance and benefits of getting involved with their children's ability to study and learn. .
These are just some of the steps that can be taken to improve the study environment for language minority students. Of course, there is no specific answer to addressing the study conditions these are just some ways to assist and address the issue. As with most everything, it all starts at home.

Understanding culture is very important in the classroom, as with everywhere. All people have their own culture, that which defines them in their surroundings. One aspect of culture is your own personal culture. Each person has his own individual culture. Most of the time this formed from another aspect of culture, one's social culture. Social culture is a more widely accepted pattern of behaviors that can classify a groups culture. Other, more sensitive specific aspects of culture can be identified. These can be political or religious views that are developed through ones culture.
It is known that the closer ones culture is to the culture of the language they are learning is beneficial. For example, with students trying to learn a second language it is easier if they can understand the culture. That way a more comparative approach can be taken in the learning process. On the other hand, if the cultures are to dissimilar then the learning process is hampered by the lack of understanding.
Teachers on the whole should make an attempt to bridge the gap in cultures by educating themselves about the differences.
