S support them. Also, would the U.S reprimand the Israelis for doing something wrong, like attacking their neighbors for invalid reasons? It is a very open ended policy leaving lots of room for interpretation (MEPC). The United States should have set a limit to what they should do in terms of supporting Israel financially and militarily, what the Israelis should do in terms of better Arab-Israeli relations, and on what terms should the United States back them militarily, for instance if Israel was attacked. Had this been done, a lot of the problems like some of Israel's wars would not have broken out due to consequences that had been pre-set. There are 3.5 million Jews in Israel, whereas there are over 200 million Arabs that all hate the Israelis. In this case, the Israelis should seriously start considering stopping being the aggressor, and becoming even more hated. .
The United States have backed Israel in all their conflicts from the beginning (NMS 40). When the state of Israel was created, there was a cutting up of Palestine into 2 different sections. One section was the Arabs; the other was the Jews (CQ 29). Immediately war broke out between the two, more commonly known as the Arab-Israeli war. The Jewish section, who were backed by American funding and supplies, managed to kick the Palestinians out of Israel for good. Palestinians now have nowhere to go, they lost their state and the people to blame are the Israelis and Americans (NMS 42). Some Palestinians also left Israel due to religious reasons, but also many of them fled in terror of the Israelis. "When war breaks out on one's home soil, one tends to be scared, as a civilian; they have a right to be."" (Hadawi 20). When the Palestinians tried to return, the Israelis were occupying their farms and homes. This is the first instance of where America both has backed the Israelis in doing something morally wrong, and started the anti-American sentiment.
