" That theory in my mind and most minds of people today is sound. .
America Online is one of the largest ISOs (Independent System Operator) on the planet. They have combined with Time Warner Cable in their Road Runner operation bringing consumers super fast connection to the Internet. Picture this: America Online is one of the largest corporations in the world, their product that they advertise and offer to the community is the Internet, the Internet is completely computer based in every shape, way, and form. Now, with that in mind, wouldn't you expect that company to have some of the best security on their programs and databases? I sure would; but yet, they don't. American Online has developed one Internet chatting program that they call America Online Instant Messenger. This program allows its users to talk to one another from any computer that they are logged onto and is connected to the Internet. I know personally of programs, files, and friends that have begun to attempt to hack into AOL and it's subprograms. I know of one file unparticular that you can send to another person's computer and get a lot of information about their computer and about themselves. This file you have to attach to another file like a picture or document, and then send that one across, the little hacker file was sent also and hides itself away in that person's computer somewhere deep. When you access this file from your computer and look at the clone of it on the person's computer that you sent it to, it relays information that it finds on that computer. It can send back: their IP address, their home address, their phone number, and any other information that they have in a program on that computer. This file and process in which it performs is highly sophisticated, yet this file is the smallest in physical size that I have ever seen on a computer. Now, if I alone can do that to whom ever I send a picture to on the internet, then what do you think these professional hackers can do to your own home computer? .
