George Etienne Cartier

            George Etienne Cartier was born in St.Antoine, Lower Canada in September 6 1814 in a wealthy family on the Chambly River in the country of Vercheres.
             George Etienne Cartier was one of the most powerful policians in his generation.
             George Etienne Cartier had three children that were all girls the biggest daughters name was Josephine that was born in 1847, the second biggest girls name was Hortens that was born in 1847 and the smallest girls name was Reine Victoria born in 1853.
             Reine Victoria died at the age of thirteen months during the cholera epidemic in 1854, and the other two daughters survived and never got married.
             Josephine the older one died in 1886 and Hortense the second older one died in 1941.
             George Etienne Cartier was married to Hortense Fabre in 1828 to 1898.
             Hortense Fabre got a good education in Upper Canada; she studied with the orsulines and then got a special instruction in languages, dance and piano.
