Jesus" Practices In The Business World

By leading ourselves properly we are in turn able to help lead other.
The second chapter we will examine is "Cleanse your insides". This chapter examines how to keep your insides clean, your heart, so that your outsides will project your purity. "Are you so dull? Don't you see that nothing that enters a man from the outside can make him "unclean"? For it doesn't go into his heart but into his stomach, and then out his body. What comes out of a man is what makes him "unclean". For from within, out of men's hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All of these things come from inside and make a man "unclean"". (Mark 7:18-23 New International Version). Everyone puts too much of an emphasis on what we look like on the outside, we need to look our best so that we can get the account, we need to make sure our teeth are extra white so that we can have that winning smile or if we don't have the newest line of shoes or clothing it will say that we aren't "keeping up with the Jones"" But Jesus wasn't concerned with that. He was concerned by what we put into our hearts and minds. He was concerned that we would let evil thoughts enter our minds, which would lead to impure evil thoughts and actions. Jesus stated that it wasn't food that made us impure, but our thoughts. We might think why didn't I get that position, or why did so-and-so get the account? This leads to much folly, is not what Jesus was trying to teach. We need to first examine ourselves and try to keep our minds and hearts cleansed so that we could exhibit qualities such as honesty, integrity, righteousness and love. Once we clean up our insides we will be in a better position to help others, because if we can't even lead ourselves how can we be expected to lead others? .
The third and final chapter is "Commit to Ethical Behavior"; this examines how true leaders are expected to act with integrity in their companies while employees are expected to implement the same.
