Most of my life I have lived in so many uncomfortable homes. I have lived in the slums of Westchester County, New York, for most of my child hood. I shared my bedroom with roaches and rats. If I would have lived in any of these apartments for more than a year, I probably would have been able to name them. However, I now reside in the most comfortable home I have ever lived in, and feel it is perfect in every way. My house is located in a friendly and beautiful environment.
First of all, my new house is in a country area surrounded by fresh air, woods, and the most tranquil creatures of nature. I love being able to walk outside, take a deep breath and enjoy it every time. We are secluded from all the industrial buildings and air pollutants. The woods around us are beautiful, especially in the fall. There bright red and orange colors paint a three-dimensional piece of artwork. During the wintertime, when it snows, the limbs are bare, but the ice frozen on them crystallizes them. The deer, rabbits, squirrels and the colorful birds add life to the beautiful landscape. I could watch the birds all day from my back porch. From the blue Jays to the turtledoves, I appreciate all of them.
Along with the birds, I have amazing neighbors. Next door there is a newly married couple. They offer to baby sit my baby sister so that she could play with their child. Down the hill, I have neighbors that have a garden. They grow more than they could eat, so they bring over a basket of vegetables over every once and a wile. There are kids of all ages around the development. This is a plus because I have two younger brothers, and instead of bothering me they could go out and hang out with kids their own age. I also have kids around my own age, and they also have similar interest as me.
I have lived here for about four years, and have been the only place I forward coming home to. By the time I finish school and find a well paying job, I would love to own a home with the same friendly and beautiful environment as my home now.
