I think that would be one of the hardest things to overcome. Harry was never encouraged by anyone, and was always in trouble. He never understood what he did wrong to deserve this treatment.
Then everything changes. On Harry's eleventh birthday a wizard comes to tell him that he is invited to wizard school. Harry has never been presented an opportunity like this before. He is thrilled to finally be away from his family.
Things were finally starting to look up for Harry. He was going to be away from his horrible life and given a chance to succeed. He would have teachers and friends that he could talk about his problems with. .
When Harry went to school he never had a friend. He meets Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. He becomes friends with them and for the first time in his life is really happy. Ron and Hermione are there for Harry when he needs them. Harry has never had an experience like that in his life.

He develops hatred and distrust for Draco Malfoy another boy at the school. Harry and Malfoy become enemies, but now Harry is able to fight back with his friends. He does not just get pushed around like he always did when Dudley was around.
School is going well for Harry and he gets invited to play a team sport. He is the youngest player in one-hundred years to play. He wins the first game for his team and becomes a hero. .
Some one lets a giant troll into the school grounds and it tries to kill Hermione. Ron and Harry capture the enormous creature and rescues Hermione. They are known by everyone as being courageous and brave for fighting the troll. .
