Goals are a very important part of life. Everyone has dreams, and establishing goals helps to achieve them. There are many types of goals, however the two main categories are short-term goals and long-term goals. Another important part of having goals, is deciding which goals are more important than others. Establishing priorities helps to determine which tasks should be performed first, and how they affect one's goals. I set many goals for myself, however the priority that place on his goal seems to come naturally. It is only upon further thought that I come to understand the process by which this takes place.
In general, all goals are very important to me. They help me to determine where I'm going and what I'll need to do to get there. With specific goals in place, it is easy to measure success; by determining what goals I have achieved and how far I am from long-term goals, I can measure how well Im doing. Having goals, and being aware of them is also way to organize desires, because it is impossible to get what one wants without first knowing what that is. With an organized system, it becomes easier to get what I want.
The first type of goal, the short-term goal takes little time, it is usually easy to achieve. These goals helps to fulfill smaller desires her requirements. Many times these goals of things that must be done, such as pay bills, do homework, etc.; things like these that have deadlines cannot be considered long-term goals because they must be finished before certain time. Because of their deadlines however, many times I place higher priorities on the short-term goals while they are still less important than my long-term goals. Short-term goals can be very important for me however, although usually there simply steps toward a long-term goal.
Long-term goals are to be the most important goals. These goals can be very complex, requiring several steps to achieve.
