Life has changed a lot since I was 14 in the year 2002. I am writing this so 50 years from now, people will compare their life to what it is today. I will describe how people get from one place to another, what our shelter is, how people work, how students are taught and how we communicate with one another. This is how we lie today. .
First, people transport themselves differently. We use cars that fly for instate transportation. If we are going out of state we will still use cars on the road or fly with planes. When going overseas submarines are the best means of transportation. Since the waves are too dangerous for boats.
Secondly, our houses these days are much different. Everyone has a smart house. These houses know where everyone is inside the house, the house also cooks meals for you in seconds. There is no more cleaning today because the house cleans it by itself. Probably the best thing the houses have is a protection made from all man and natural disasters.
Next, jobs haven't changed much in 50 years. The biggest changes are the longer work hours, and no more telecommuting. Jobs now require very high-tech skills. The work hours changed from 6-8 hours a day to 10-15 hours a day. No one has to drive to work anymore which means no more rush hour traffic.
The students of today are taught much faster than they were 50 years ago. All students go to school for 9 hours of school every other day, and 11 hours the rest of the time. Kids are given exams in the 5th grade. Some students will be finished with all there schooling by the age of 16. Classes are taken over the internet.
Finally, I will tell you how far our means of communication has come. Some people use phones still. Most people though use a technology that lets you look at the person you are talking to with a small screen. Everything is voice activated. Since everyone has a phone, we need to use headsets to listen.
In conclusion, this is how far we have come.
