One of the happier times in my life took place a couple of years ago. Phoenix, for its first time ever, would be hosting Super Bowl XXX, between the Dallas Cowboys and the Pittsburgh Stealers. It just so happens that I am HUGE Cowboys fan. How huge you ask? Well, let me tell you, I have a cowboys football helmet autographed by some of the players like Michael Irvan, Mouse Johnson, and Bill Bates to name a few. I also have a collectors coin of Emmitt Smith, mugs, caps, posters, and clothes. I even have a bathroom that is completely decorated with Cowboy memorabilia. Everything from the cloths hamper to the shower curtain and everything in between. A few nights before the game a friend and I went to the NFL Experience, this is best described as a sporting circus. Players from different teams where there signing autographs, the smell of hot dogs and cotton candy filled the air as people ran around trying to do all the activities and see all the sights. Some of the activities included dressing up in big overstuffed football outfits and trying to tackle each other, to actually putting yourself in the body molds of some player to see how you measure up to them. While we where there I ventured into one of the many tents filled with sports collectibles. I was looking for a simple picture of an offensive linemen, because that's what I am. Unfortunately the only pictures they had were of the super stars and cost a pretty penny ranging anywhere from ninety to one hundred and fifty dollars, all because they were autographed by the players. So I ended up settling on a picture of Emmitt Smith without the autograph. This only cost me ten dollars. As we left the tent I noticed that a large crowed had gathered around the ESPN news center stage. Then someone yelled out "look it's Emmitt Smith." I couldn't believe it. My heart nearly jumped out of my chest. Emmitt Smith, only about eighty feet in front of me, Oh My God!!! How was I going to get close enough to get his autograph? There must have been a hundred ideas racing through my mind and the excitement seemed to just overwhelmed me.
