Pathways.
Pathways is a nonprofit chemical dependency treatment program, fully licensed and accredited. Pathways" treatment options include chemical detoxification, residential treatment, day treatment, intensive outpatient and continuing care. Pathways" programs started in 1984, and since 1996, Pathways for Women has provided gender specific treatment. Pathways utilizes several 12-step support groups: Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, and a family program that involves education, group discussions, and support groups like Alanon. Perhaps the most important program of Pathways is its 52-week continuing care program.
To better meet client/patient needs, Pathways contracts with a variety of professionals including physicians, psychologists, licensed professional counselors, certified addiction counselors, recreation and nutrition specialists, and chaplains. Pathways has 20-beds available for residential treatment, patients can self-refer or be referred by family, physician, employer, pastor, or friend. Most insurance carriers cover this type of chemical dependency treatment. If they have the means, patients without insurance can opt for a contract plan, but most uninsured are referred to the Arise Program. Pathways accepts patients age 18 and older, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. .
Pathways substance abuse policy is updated yearly and all Federal drug testing custody control forms are up-to-date. All employees and patients are randomly drug tested to monitor for those disregarding the rules. Nurses perform tests and hospital lab staff analyzes the specimens. (J.
