The French Revolution began in 1789 during an immensely awkward period of the French History. It was cause by many different reasons and the consequences of those actions forever changed French living. The reasons for the revolution are categorized into different topics: political, economical, ideological and social, quite a few of these, erected many years before the revolution even came about.
Absolute Monarchy was by far the main political catalyst of the French Revolution. Throughout the 16th and 17th century Louis XIV ruled France, but a large number of people were beginning to loose faith in his judgment and ruling of such an important investment. As the days of Louis fame slowly halted to an end the "Age of Reason" began to mould. It was a cause waiting to erupt and cause the French Revolution. Throughout this era new ideas and different views of thinking began to arise and it was thought that reasoning and thoughtful thinking could solve any problem that came there way, little did they really know. Voltaire, Jean Jacques Rousseau and Cesare, Beccaria, they to had ideas that were very liked during up-rising. They all made a promise that everyone throughout society, poor or wealthy no matter what gender or race should be treated equally by law. These notions pored through the French citizens minds and gave them another reason to revolt. .
In the year 1789 throughout May when Louis XIV was still in power, the French revolution officially began to shed its pain among the people. In order to resolve the poor situation of the country he demanded a meeting with the Estates-General to appoint representatives to assist with the current crisis. It took 12 months but finally the elections took place, throughout the elections censorship was disregarded and bulletins holding ideas were circulated which caused even more aggression which at the time Louis XIV didn't need. On May 5th 1789 the Estates Generals came together and comprised three different "Estates".
