When a person looks at a place to live, it usually has all the furnishings and decorations in it. When you see it that way you see all the personality it has and what changes you want to make. You can even restore a place like they did in this article, but it takes a while. They use Queen Elizabeth red for authenticity, another use for monochromatic. He put wonderful paintings from his collection, but the designer didn't want to take attention away from the different colors throughout the house. In this apartment, there was a curved staircase and a landing opens into the library, which leads into a salon. The room has no windows, so he used a dark tone-on-tone green stripe on the walls. The master bedroom is left of the salon and another staircase that goes to a guest bedroom. When a designer knows a client well, it makes the work easier. So as you can see after reading this that looks can be deceiving.

Modern Gothic in Paris, March 1999 by Michael of Greece.
The man Le Fur in this article likes to move, in order to satisfy his love for decorating. Le Fur found a piece of neo-gothic that wasn't dirty, but white all over. He realized that he could put together a complete decal inspired by his idol, Christian Bernard. The rooms in his place were poorly arranged with nooks and crannies, but Le Fur found use for all. In the living room he uncovered the original canvas walls under layers of white paint. Le Fur bought nineteenth century things instead of his usual 30's and 40's style. Le Fur used to just throw stuff together, but now he has done a place over from scratch. Le Fur likes to get cheap stuff, but quality stuff. He hopes the neo-gothic style will stay fashionable, but when prices get to high to keep up with the style, he"ll have to change and go to another style.
