Sport Utility Vehicle prices range depending on what features you purchase. Because payment plans vary due to an individual's credit, the research is focused on the quoted price. This pricing does not include interest fees or other fees that may apply, such as tags and title charges. There are two different prices found by the consumer.
MSRP - The price that the manufacturer suggests a retailer sell the vehicle.
Invoice - The price that the dealer paid for the vehicle.
To haggle for the lowest price, DriveHome suggests that a consumer should begin negotiation prices from the Invoice price, not the price on the window of the car (the MSRP.) Negotiate from the Invoice price up, not the MSRP down. Most dealers still make a large profit, even if they sell at the base Invoice price. Depending on the demand of the SUV, a prospective vehicle buyer should be able to pay no more than $100-$500 more than the invoice price. .
