RELATIONSHIPS .
I always believed that relationships, just like nature, was all pervading. The sun laughs at my windowsill and I envision how wrong I had been. It is not until the time things have crossed its limits that we feel something is wrong. It is only with the sight of smoke, fire gets its identity and the hiatus it can create in our otherwise mundane life.
My insides churn and ache, and I feel a heavy weight in my young bosom. A feeling of betrayal breathes itself in my thoughts, feeling my inner self with nostalgia of still younger days, pain, rejection and ignorance.
It is with much pain that I have realized the importance of a relationship in one's life. I still marvel at this simple discovery. It is just like the cocoon of a silk worm; its beauty and priceless work of hard labor, all wound up carefully, manifested with silk threads. However as soon as you begin to unwind the thread, it breaks. It breaks a lot of times and one has to keep on tying them up, making a redundant of knots.
Our relationships are similar to the cocoon. The more we try to reach for its depths, the more distress it causes us. We should learn that sometimes its better to appreciate the labor of love and patience just the way it appears and honor it, rather than go digging in it, thus spoiling the intoxication it creates within us and leaving us irritated.
I have learnt one more thing, which is, I believe most important in a relationship and that is acceptance, acceptance not only of your self but of the other person as well.
Love should be manifested at regular intervals and we should see people as human beings and not in the roles they are carved in for us. This will help in overcoming much stiffened anger and expectation. Relationships cannot be ritualistically maintained or followed. It is symbolic of our growth and must be too allowed to breathe. Always remember, expansion occurs only where there is space!.
