In my opinion the psalms best suited for public worship are the following - 1, 23, 24, 29, 44, 73, 90, 121, and 150.
The psalms best suited for private worship are the following, 8, 13, 51, 104, 137, and 139.
I believe that almost all of them could be used in contemporary worship. In psalms 8 it recognizes all that God is and has done. Of course psalms 23 is used in contemnor worship. I believe every Christian has these verses memorized by heart. Psalms 44 would suit our situation in today's times. For example the United States decision to go to war with Iraq. We are not only trying to protect everyone from nuclear weapons, but we are also trying to give the Iraq people a better life and freedom. They do not have the freedom of religion and most may not have ever seen a bible. Their country is tortured by its own government. I just hope our country will always keep verse 8 in mind.

I believe I can relate my life with the "seasons of life". I would say everyone can relate to this. In the contemporary world our season of creation would be our childhood and our life all the way through puberty. The times of disorientation would be our hard times in life. .
The times we probably weren't as close to God as we should have been or maybe the times God was trying to work through us. Sometimes God is trying to talk to us and we just don't want to listen. The times of reorientation are the times when you can look at your life and realize your mistakes. You may rededicate for all your sins. In psalms 51 I see a great sinners prayer or even a rededicating prayer.

The book of Proverbs does not compare with the education offered in modern textbooks and schools. The book of Proverbs teaches us morals and a God fearing life. The school system is not allowed to teach religion. I don't believe there is any religious component in contemporary business education.
