Animation In Education

Students can explore the relations among ideas and thus experience a more connected form of learning. Perhaps, most importantly, this new media is connected to engage learning. Students can choose what to see and do, and they have media, to record and extend what they learn. Learning is thus driven by the individual needs and interests and than the interests of the learner. .
The Software and Information Industry Association, or SIIA, conducted a report on the effectiveness of technology in schools, mostly centered around interactive media, including animation. They found that the promise and challenge of educational technology can improve teaching and learning, but just having this technology does not equal better outcomes. SIIA has established that in order to promote desired instructional results, software must be effectively designed. Sufficient access to this technology would also have enormous benefits. There is one "right" type of neither software nor one "right" way to use this technology. Rather, the software and the way it is used instructionally must match the schools learning and teaching goals and must be appropriate for the specific students who use it. .
Computer and communication technologies, like animation, continue to change therefore educational technology tools must continue to change as well. PBS is currently making steps into introducing new ways to teach kids about art. His name is Doodle, a 3D animated pencil and star/instructor of a new children's educational art series of the same name. .
Doodle teaches young students a new, unique aspect of art, with importance on drawing in each 15-minute episode. The show is mainly created using 3D animation, with some 2D elements. Some episodes include a live-action guest (usually, an artist) who appears on video. Doodle as the host, breaks each lesson into steps and allows time for practice before a new step is initiated.
