Cultures from almost most of the world could be found in New York City. Most of these people would have never come in contact with one another if it weren't for the large immigration rate of this time period.

Most of the food that we consider being oriental really is not. All we did was take a good idea and improve upon it. Same thing with pizza, pizza traditionally is served with a few slices of tomatoes and a few pieces of mozzarella on top and the crust is almost wafer thin. As we can see most things that we consider to be foods of a certain culture have been improved or just changed with in America.

The way I took the reaction to the cats is the evil upper class of some places that just simply saying anything bad against them could wind up in the death penalty.
