America

Cultures from almost most of the world could be found in New York City. Most of these people would have never come in contact with one another if it weren't for the large immigration rate of this time period.
Thus led to the mixing of cultures of ideals and beliefs. You can see this today for example the Christmas tree is mainly a German custom along with the Easter rabbit. The way I think this happened are over the years we slowly started to adopt other cultures traditions and turn them into our own. Like I stated before the Easter Rabbit and many other things.
Most of the food that we consider being oriental really is not. All we did was take a good idea and improve upon it. Same thing with pizza, pizza traditionally is served with a few slices of tomatoes and a few pieces of mozzarella on top and the crust is almost wafer thin. As we can see most things that we consider to be foods of a certain culture have been improved or just changed with in America.
3.Merely mentioning the word cat sent shivers down the spines of all immigrants in the movie. I think that this could be translated as the upper class that ruled over such places as Russia and other places such as this. In this essay I will try to explain what the cats represented and what basic concepts of liberty they threatened.
The way I took the reaction to the cats is the evil upper class of some places that just simply saying anything bad against them could wind up in the death penalty. But the thing is that when they came here there were still people who wanted to take their freedom. Even some factories had dorms for the works. They promised that if families would give them their children they would make sure that they had a good education and that they would make something of them selves. This of course was a lie the children were taken and made to work outrageous hours.
This infringed on the peoples basic freedoms such as the right to get a proper education.
