What is life? It is a question that many have mused over for years. The meaning of life is defined as being alive. But many believe that there is a lot more to that and where life first began is a question that still remains. We have yet to clearly distinguish where life first began because of the many theories. Many believe that life is a religious and philosophical matter. Religious people believe that God created our world and he first created man, Adam. Other people beg to differ, believing that great gods created many things and they told these creation stories through myths and other such things. Many other people also believe that life began with a cosmic egg and from that spurned many different living things. Some people also believe that life came through chemistry and that amino acids were the building blocks of life. With each of these theories it is so hard to really tell which one is true, it all depends on your values and how you were raised. .
As you can see there is no simple meaning to life, it is just something that is there and we have yet to truly figure out why. What we do know about life though, is that it can reproduce and this is usually through sex. Some organisms can reproduce asexually, but it usually takes two to tango. Natural selection also occurs even in our society, not just in the animals or plants. Over the years our bodies have adapted to the many different stages of time like the Ice age, middle ages, etc. where our bodies have grown to survive from certain diseases and climates. We also know that all living things contain DNA. .
Life may distinguish the difference between inorganic and organic organisms, but another question of life is how do we know how to start it. Parents may have sex and produce what would later be a child, but how does the child know how to live in the womb? Or how does a seed know to grow? These questions may never be answered, but life works in a mysterious way and it obviously wants to be kept that way.
