The Chocolate War

Is very good with words enables him to win many verbal confrontations. Hasn't said much yet. The assignments that he gives out are never violent but pschicologically difficult.
             Goober- Full name: Roland Goubert.
Jerry- His assignment is the chocolates. He is a fourteen-year-old freshmen just had his birthday. His mother died last spring of cancer.
Norman Stanton- His assignment is the sidewalk.
Chapter 3: Here we again are seeing the teenage, "horny", side of Jerry. He, are most boys this age, is very intrigued with magazines like Playboy. I really like this, it is so different to read a book that actually discusses what the average teenager would be doing very interesting! Jerry is now, for really the first time, given a bite of reality. He is standing at the bus stop apparently minding his own business when in reality he is staring at the "hippies" across the street. Everyone knows when they are being stared at, and so didn't these hippies. But not only did they know it they called him on it. Which is really cool. Having someone point that out for a young arrogant teenager doesn't happen nearly enough. It needs to be done more you won't "hurt their self-esteem", it builds character. .

             .
             Symbols: I couldn't find any.
             New/Updates on characters:.
Jerry-Now has his first real experience with reality something tells me that The Vigils are sure to bring more.
Chapter4: The start of "The Chocolate War" is now becoming apparent. In my opinion this was a very boring chapter, however I feel that it is the basis for the rest of the book. The entire chapter mainly is a discussion between Archie and Brother Leon. Brother Leon is a teacher who has come to ask Archie for help; actually he is asking the help of The Vigils but they are not allowed to say the name of this confidential organization.
