Should public tax revenues be spent on aid to parochial school? To this .
question I say no I do not think that they should receive aid. Parochial get just about .
or maybe even more money than public schools get all year. The money that goes .
into parochial schools pays for the teachers, maintenance of the grounds and .
buildings and other things of that nature. Money given to public schools serve the .
same purposes except with a public school, such as a college, money that is .
received there is used basically to pay for professors.
The moneys that public schools receive have to be rationed out between many .
schools. They do not know where a lot of their money is coming from other than the .
money that is allotted to them to keep the school up to par. Meanwhile, with a .
parochial school they can raise tuition or other fees to get money they need to keep .
their schools intact. As soon as tax revenues would be distributed to both public and .
parochial schools equally, I think this would serve as a big problem and higher .
taxes. Lost revenues would decrease the effectiveness of the upkeep and probably .
the education of public schools. While giving parochial schools an even better .
advantage over public schools.
There are many advantages to going to a parochial school and public schools. .
With parochial schools there are smaller class sizes so students get a better intake of .
information, they do not have to take the Georgia high school graduation tests, but .
at the same time they have to pay to go to school. And by them not taking the .
Georgia high school graduation test they are tested to see if they are ready to .
graduate and more than likely students would have to take the test anyway to get .
into certain colleges. Public schools have their advantages as well, such as, we have .
more freedom to express ourselves in our own way and we are more test read .
because we take more mandatory tests we must pass. But public schools have there .
