The feature I found most appealing in Rainbow Six by Tom Clancy is the fast action packed counter-terrorist scenes of the book. Rainbow Six is about a group if counter-terrorists, code-named Rainbow, that help countries by dealing with terrorist situations. In many scenes of the book there is jam-packed fight scenes with awesome gunfights and intricate political complications. For the group's second mission a group of terrorists had taken hostage a wealthy and important political person in his house. The six-man team sets up sniper positions outside the house and draws out the terrorists. When the terrorists come out to get into a helicopter to take them away, Rainbow executes their mission. The men take out their targets and successfully save all hostages. The fast-paced missions and incredibly described fight scenes are the most attractive part of Rainbow Six.

Rainbow Six by Tom Clancy is well wrote action book. It well deserves the title of New York bestseller. There are a few flaws in the book though. The numerous different characters and plots in the book make it hard to keep track who's who and who does what, even though all the plots eventually form together in the end, making sense of everything. Also the in-depth political scenes require some memory skills to figure what is going on throughout the book. But everything is made up the excellent military scenes and missions, which consists of over half the book. The gripping action scenes and plot won't let you put the book down, you"ll always be wondering what is coming up next. I enjoyed reading Rainbow Six and would recommend it to people who like action movies and books.
